New Baggage Allowances for Marine, Labour, Migrant, and Student Fares to Australia/New Zealand

Dear Travel Partners,

As Qantas moves from a piece and weight system to a weight system for all international flights (excluding flights to/from the Americas), we would like to advise that baggage allowance changes will also be implemented for our Marine, Labour, Migrant, and Student Fares to Australia and New Zealand.

The baggage allowances remain generous and offer customers flexibility as they can take more pieces than previously (within the allowance).

Below is a summary of our fares and their respective baggage allowances.

Please note that the new international checked baggage allowances take effect for tickets issued on, or after 26 February 2013 for travel on, or after 31 March 2013. Customers with tickets issued prior to 26 February 2013 for travel on, or after 31 March 2013 will travel according to the allowance on their ticket. Customers with tickets issued for travel prior to 31 March 2013 will travel according to the current “piece” allowance.
